Technologies include VOIP (Gateways, SoftSwitches, SBCs, MTAs, CPE), DWDM transport of SONET, SAN, Gig-E, MPEG Video; DOCSIS cable modems, CMTSs, Metro Ethernet, Digital Microwave Links, FTTH technologies: RFoG and PON. WiFi/Cellular Fixed-Mobile Convergence including VCC, Cellular Network Integration (HSS, HLR, DM, SMSc, etc.), CDMA and GSM. Conventional OSP/Headend equipment added to responsibilities in 2011. Planned and managed CLEC/CAP network systems. Direct sup
ervision of Design/Construction, Circuit Design/Provisioning, and Network Engineering Managers. Planning and project assignment for the Lightpath Network, consisting of 5ESS Switches, DACSII and DACSIV systems, and SONET transmission systems linking several carriers and over twelve hundred on-net buildings, as well as over 10,000 residential customers via HFC. Construction of new CO facilities and transmission hubs, frame relay and ATM switches, DWDM transmission systems, SDH transmission and gateway systems. COLR/DLR production. Capacity management. Performed budgeting/planning for above projects and extensive facility support upgrade for Smithtown facility including Power and
HVAC, PBX telephone system. Planning and field communications support for MTV Productions:

Supervised design and construction of: 110 Channel Cable Headend; 60 Channel AML Microwave System; 60 Channel basic and premium cable audio service; Two-way addressable control computer system; High-speed (T1) and medium speed point-to-point data links using CATV cable; Management and maintenance of 150-station PBX telephone system/Automatic Call Director system. Installation and management of data links connecting computer terminals with remote host.
6/81 – 3/84 Staff Engineer. WARNER AMEX CABLE COMMUNICATIONS. Cincinnati, OH
Activation of 3 complete remote hub stations, each including TVRO and off-air reception as well as microwave; Design of an FM AML Video link for WCET/QUBE Downtown Studio program transmission; Transmission of QUBE data via AML Microwave. Implemented reverse path maintenance and security program as Non-RF Coordinator; Design of computer software for use by the Non-RF and Dispatch departments. Invention of a telephone-less tone switching system for remote hub program control, and an automatic remote control system for sweep transmitters.
